It is with great pleasure that we announce Morgan's first capital campaign, New Horizons: The Campaign for Morgan State University. We are very proud and honored to have been asked to serve as co-chairpersons of this historic endeavor.

The goal of this campaign is to raise $25 million, primarily to enhance Morgan's endowment for scholarships and need-based financial aid. Other funding priorities include faculty and program development, the rebuilding of our athletic programs and the renovation and maintenance of the Alumni House.

Morgan's current and future students need your support, now more than ever. Even though our tuition and fees remain competitive, the demand for financial assistance continues to escalate beyond our ability to fulfill the students' requests. As a result, each semester, hundreds of worthy students must withdraw because of the lack of funding. You have the ability to help these students attain their education goals.

You will be hearing more about our campaign as we go forward. You may even get a personal appeal from one of the many alumni and friends who have volunteered to help make New Horizons a success. But, don't wait. Please begin now to determine how you can make a significant difference in the lives of our students by contributing generously to the campaign.
