MORGAN STATE HEALTH COMMITTEE HOSTS CANCER SEMINAR

- Seminar Conducted by The Hadassah of Greater Baltimore -

The Morgan State University Health Awareness Committee will host "Check It Out," an informational cancer seminar on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the McKeldin Center. The seminar, conducted by The Hadassah of Greater Baltimore, seeks to promote the prevention of breast and prostate cancer through information and testing.

Participants of "Check It Out" can expect two sessions, one for women and another for men. Dr. Margaret Fountain, physician's educator and noted speaker, will serve as moderator for the female session and Dr. Miles Harrison of Sinai Hospital in Baltimore will serve as moderator for the male attendees. The seminar will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the McKeldin Center. (The female session will be held in the Alice Parham Ballroom; the male session in Room 319.)

"Check It Out" is sponsored by several student organizations, including the YWCA, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., the Society of Women Engineers, the National Council of Negro Women and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
