MORGAN HOSTS CONFERENCE ON RESEARCH AT MINORITY INSTITUTIONS
WHO: Many of the best scientists, faculty members and most promising
future professionals will attend.

Biennial Conference on Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions
(RIMI), hosted this year by Morgan State University.
WHEN: Friday,
March 15, 2002 - 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 16, 2002 - 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 17, 2002 - 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Monday, March 18, 2002 - 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor Hotel, Baltimore, MD
This is a conference
rich with information to be shared. There will be oral and poster presentations
by faculty, students and other distinguished scientists that cover a
broad range of biomedical disciplines. Some of the topics to be explored
at the four day conference include research into: HIV/AIDS, Cancer,
Toxicology, Cardiovascular Diseases and New Emerging Biomedical Technology.
RIMI is funded by
the National Center for Research Resources and the Center of Minority
Health and Health Disparities. Considered an unqualified success, RIMI
is now in the final pilot phase of its funding commitment. Along with
those from Morgan State University, representatives from Spelman College,
Tennesee State University, Texas
A & M University at Kingville and other institutions will attend
the conference.
